We have breaking news on our upcoming concert New Normal: A Celebration of People of Color. We are very excited to announce that VLCC will be joined by the Overland High School auditioned group, the Cecilians. This group of 40 young people are performing at the upcoming Colorado Music Educators Association annual conferences two weeks prior to our concerts on February 3rd and 4th and their repertoire includes two of the pieces we have planned for New Normal. When Keith approached Phil Drozda, an alum of VLCC and the choir director at Overland HS, to join us for the upcoming concert and the repertoire was discussed, it was synchronicity and serendipity that we had peices in common. This type of collaboration, and particularly with Overland High School, is something that we have wanted to accomplish for quite some time and we could not be more pleased that it is finally coming to fruition.
